Hi, amigos! I'm Melissa, the founder and lead baker of Del Pozo Bakehouse. My passion for Peruvian cuisine runs deep in my veins, being half Peruvian on my mother's side. Growing up enjoying Peruvian food, it's no surprise that it remains my favorite food to this day. Peruvian cuisine is a fusion of Japanese, Italian, and Afro-Latino influences; a culinary journey I'm excited to share with you.
This bakery holds a special place in my heart, named after my abuelita, invoking the strength and spirit of the Peruvian women in my family's history.
